Mojo Spa Review

Hello Queens!

Here is my review on the Mojo Spa, make sure to stay tune for many many more reviews to come.

A few months ago I got the chance to visit the Mojo Spa on my trip to the Windy City (Chicago, Illinois).   My best friend/sorority sister, who I was visiting had been raving about the place and scheduled us an appointment. What Queen doesn't love a spa? Especially one that has all natural and hand made products, so I was excited!

First, the place is adorable and the staff is extremely nice.  I got their “ Sugar Daddy” mani and pedi; they used their handmade Sugar Me Sweet Scrub & Sugar Me Sweet Body Cream. Its made with cocoa butter and olive oil which made my may skin feel so soft. It was quite relaxing. After we were done, we received a complimentary make up session. Once again I was so excited.

I wanted a simple look with a pop a color. I had always wanted to wear red lipstick, but was always hesitant. Then I remembered that I was in Chicago! I don’t know theses people and did it really matter?  The makeup artist encouraged their “Red Velvet Mineral Lipstick” and ccchhiillld I fell in love! Not only did it look fabulous, but felt fabulous too! Once I got back home, I looked everywhere for a similar tint of red, but couldn't find anything. Right when I was thinking of ordering it online my best friend brought me one on her trip back home. She is fabulous too!

So Queens in the Windy City and Queens that may visit stop by the Mojo Spa and enjoy their wonderful natural handmade goodies that will make you fall in love.

Thinking of the BIG & TALL ❤ ❤ ❤

I was having a conversation with this amazing teddy bear (heyyy boo!) and realized that though we are more accepting of the plus-size man, the big teddy bear and overall the “big & tall”, their options for fashion are almost non-existent! I thought we had a limited selection as plus size women of stores, designers, fashion bloggers, and so on, but it is enormous compared to the options men have.   As I did a little research, I came across a great article,  “Why are there no plus-size male models?” .   Which was something I had honestly never paid any mind to.   This article sheds light on the reality of the double standards we have in our society.    Mark Simpson was quoted saying, “Part of the reason why there are no plus-size male models is that there are no politics behind it. It’s not a controversial issue in the same way that it is for women. Men are objectified all the time in the media, but it’s not called ‘obje...

Rules of Styling You Must Never Forget!

There is no right or wrong, so step out the box and go with what makes you feel good.  Two, accessories are everything! I mean what better way to give your outfit life then with a signature necklace, bag or why not just both?! Three and most important of all, don't forget to wear your  confidence!  I...
