Rules of Styling You Must Never Forget!

'Fashions fade, style is eternal.' - Yves Saint Laurent Read more at http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/blogs/542820/the-40-best-style-quotes-of-all-time.html#SYrae4BgEz4L73EZ.99 I had the great pleasure of styling the  award-winning activist, choreographer, and writer,   Mark Travis Rivera ,  for the opening night of  the 4th Annual Six Degrees of Separation: Balance vs. Chaos showcase at  The Actors Fund Arts Center !   When it comes to styling,  whether  someone like the talented Mark Travis Rivera, a friend, or your fabulous self, it's important to keep three rules in mind.  One, style is totally personal! There is no right or wrong, so step out the box and go with what makes you feel good.  Two, accessories are everything! I mean what better way to give your outfit life then with a signature necklace, bag or why not just both?! Three and most important of all, don't forget to wear your  confidence!  It's truly what sets you apart from the rest.

Shop Majour and Courtney Noelle's Pop Up Shop

This past Saturday I took a nice drive to Brooklyn for the   Shop Majour   and   Courtney Noelle  Pop Up Shop.  As you ladies know I am big fan of both designers and had to check them out. Though after attending the Pop Up Shop, I might be one of their biggest fans.  I had fallen in love with Shop Majour's Mad Max Dress the moment I laid eyes on it a few months ago. I love me a sale!  I was so very impressed with the quality of all their pieces and looking back should have tried on a few others. All their fabulous accessories were also available. My favorite is their black lace  Paris Me Purse , which I don't know why I did not snatch it up too.  Picture Source: Shop Majour Instagram Account It was great to also have Courtney Noelle in the building. Every piece was absolutely gorgeous from the sparkling  Tina

There is no denying that I am an emotional creature, but the past few weeks my life has been turned upside down.  From different challenges at work to healing from a breakup, all while dealing with family matters that I've avoided for years. See, I had declared that 29 was the year I was going to “get my life together”… whatever that meant. I was mentally preparing to sincerely work on becoming the best version of me, all before I hit the big three-0. Little did I know that literally days before my 29 th   birthday I would get a Facebook message from an excited eleven-year old that simply wanted to meet her big sister.  All of a sudden I wasn’t an only child anymore. More importantly, I was no longer able to avoid the multitude of emotions that came with dealing with my father and that part of my life. This all unav
