Dear Lane Bryant, Where is the COLOR?

Dear Lane Bryant,

I feel we have an amazing relationship. You are always there for me when I need you. Whether I need a new pair of jeans, jacket for work or a little retail therapy, you are there giving me all I need.  You shower me with lovely gifts, $25 off of $75, $50 off of $125, “Real Women Dollars” and my absolute favorite 50% off clearance! You’re the best! So you can imagine how excited I was when I heard that you were opening a Cacique Lifestyle store at the Newport Centre Mall in Jersey City (NJ). I mean I don’t even own a bra that isn't Cacique. I love that you have it all; lace, boy shorts, thongs, strips, pock dots and all sorts of bold colors and prints.

So you must understand my absolute disappointment when I walked into Cacique Lifestyle at the Newport Centre Mall. What happened?!? Don't get me wrong, I love the Sophie Theallet collection and everything at the store, especially the layout, but it was boring!

I feel you have come such a long way and are so far from boring! I expected more, especially from you. I want more then a pink bra! Throughout the years your style has grown and changed encouraging me to do the same. To be bold, to be fearless in all I wear! Everything at this store was lovely, but can a girl get a little color? Yes, black is sexy and elegant, but where was the red, hot pink, coral, cobalt blue, turquoise, army green and the rest of the rainbow?  Imagine the Lace-Up Garter Belt in deep red, the Lace Garter Belt in fuchsia, or the Lave Bodice Chemise in coral and the Sheer Lace Halter Babydoll in a rich purple!

I want more! We want more and who but you to create it?

Sincerely,
Paulaska

My Love Affairs With Flats...

Oh my love affair with flat… started around 2003. See somehow I stepped on a toothpick, yes I said a stupid toothpick! It was the summer before my junior year of high school and I had come home from my summer job. I took off my shoes and walked into the living room, where we had a thick shaggy rug. Somehow there was a toothpick and I steeped on it. We didn’t even have toothpicks at home! To make a long story short, the following morning I ended in the hospital and it was like I never left. I had six  surgeries  between that July and April 2003. So clearly high heels have near been my thing. Though I think they are absolutely beautiful and wish I could walk at least to the car in them.  So I began my love affair with flats, always looking for comfortable and fabulous ones to make my outfits. Check out a few I am hoping to add to my collection this fall! Ballerina Flats with Gems (Zara) $ 59.90  Leather Ballet Flats with Blow (Zara) $ 59.90  Printed  Leather Slippers (Zara

Rules of Styling You Must Never Forget!

There is no right or wrong, so step out the box and go with what makes you feel good.  Two, accessories are everything! I mean what better way to give your outfit life then with a signature necklace, bag or why not just both?! Three and most important of all, don't forget to wear your  confidence!  It's truly what sets you apart from the rest.
