What is there not to love about the month of June? Summer begins, it's this Queens's birthday and of course we all get to enjoy a week of plus size fashion!  With only a few months away its time to mark your calendar! 

We begin June with...

Full Figure Fashion Week 
 New York  (June 14, 2015 to June 20, 2015)

Since 2009, Full Figure Fashion Week (FFFW) has provided a platform for plus size women and designers to come together and live fashion. Its mission is to empower plus size women and it has been doing so with a week full of workshops, events and a spectacular runway show.  An amazing experience put together by Gwen DeVoe, CEO of DeVoe Signature Events as well as Creator and Executive Producer of FFFW.

Full Figure Fashion Week's schedule and tickets will be available in no time, so make sure to visit their website and join their mailing list!

If you are interested in being one of their beautiful models, there are only two more stops in their 2015 Casting Tour.

This event will be bring fashionistas, plus size designers/brands, shopaholics, bloggers and youtubers to do what we do best; empower, embrace, chat and of course shop!

My Love Affairs With Flats...

Oh my love affair with flat… started around 2003. See somehow I stepped on a toothpick, yes I said a stupid toothpick! It was the summer before my junior year of high school and I had come home from my summer job. I took off my shoes and walked into the living room, where we had a thick shaggy rug. New York Fashion Week Plus (NYFW+) Breaks Down The Barriers!

I had the great pleasure of assisting the talented Brandee Joyner and the ManikMag team as they made history with New York Fashion Week Plus (NYFW+) ! And let me tell you that history was definitely made with a week of astonishing fashion presentations from eight phenomenal designers. The collections from  Oseas Villatoro , Danielle Ferguson , Harvest Powell ,  Eula Taylaor ,  Ava Jones , Marco Hall ,   Phoenyx  Reign , and  Tatiana Castro  were full of bold color, prints, and textiles!
