What is there not to love about the month of June? Summer begins, it's this Queens's birthday and of course we all get to enjoy a week of plus size fashion!  With only a few months away its time to mark your calendar! 

We begin June with...

Full Figure Fashion Week 
 New York  (June 14, 2015 to June 20, 2015)

Since 2009, Full Figure Fashion Week (FFFW) has provided a platform for plus size women and designers to come together and live fashion. Its mission is to empower plus size women and it has been doing so with a week full of workshops, events and a spectacular runway show.  An amazing experience put together by Gwen DeVoe, CEO of DeVoe Signature Events as well as Creator and Executive Producer of FFFW.

Full Figure Fashion Week's schedule and tickets will be available in no time, so make sure to visit their website and join their mailing list!

If you are interested in being one of their beautiful models, there are only two more stops in their 2015 Casting Tour.

New York  (June 20, 2015)

This event will be bring fashionistas, plus size designers/brands, shopaholics, bloggers and youtubers to do what we do best; empower, embrace, chat and of course shop!

Thinking of the BIG & TALL ❤ ❤ ❤

I was having a conversation with this amazing teddy bear (heyyy boo!) and realized that though we are more accepting of the plus-size man, the big teddy bear and overall the “big & tall”, their options for fashion are almost non-existent! I thought we had a limited selection as plus size women of stores, designers, fashion bloggers, and so on, but it is enormous compared to the options men have.   As I did a little research, I came across a great article,  “Why are there no plus-size male models?” .   Which was something I had honestly never paid any mind to.   This article sheds light on the reality of the double standards we have in our society.    Mark Simpson was quoted saying, “Part of the reason why there are no plus-size male models is that there are no politics behind it.
